The new ERDI Instructor, Marco Aurelio Reis, has extensive experience in commercial and rescue diving along with a professional diving curriculum. He has already certified around 200 brazilian firefighters and understands the needs of those participating in public safety diving.

“Public safety diving is a unique type of diving. It focuses on an area of diving that is highly specialized with very different situations and tasks than recreational scuba diving requires. Therefore, the training and course content are designed for situations that police, fire/rescue teams would encounter on daily basis. That’s why ERDI is an excellent choice for those that are seeking specialized public safety training,” says Marco A. Reis. All the ERDI programs are OSHA and NFPA compliant.

Marcos Melo, SDI/TDI/ERDI Brazil Regional Director emphasized that “It’s a big step for SDI/TDI/ERDI Brazil in bringing not only the high quality training in recreational and technical diving, but to also encompass and offer public safety training to all intersted persons within Brazil. We are happy to provide this specialited ERDI training to as an international standard of training totally devoted to the public safety.”
