Taylor was first certified by SDI at the age of 12. Born and raised in South Florida, Taylor spent a lot of her time at the beach and in the water. She immediately became fascinated with the ocean in the summer of 2005 when she got the opportunity to go on a trip to the Dry Tortugas on the Research Vessel Tiburon for a nurse shark reproduction behavior project.
In the summers to follow Taylor found herself back on the RV Tiburon taking trips to many islands in the Bahamas, including Bimini, Free Port, Nassau, and Exuma. Having had the time of her life on the Tiburon, Taylor discovered that she had a deep passion for the ocean and everything involved with it.
Taylor furthered her infatuation for the water when she got a job at the Jupiter Dive Center in 2011. She worked as a deckhand on their dive boats and in her spare time she worked on her Divemasters. She is now furthering her education in the dive industry by working in the operations department for International Training along with going for her Open Water Instructors. She is looking forward to some technical courses in the future.
