SDI Deep Diving
Exploration is usually limited by boundaries; too far, too high, too deep. How do we go beyond the limits applied to us so we can further expand the realm of our exploration? What is below SDI’s Deep Diver course is a must for any diver wishing to explore a little more and will teach you the risks and benefits of deep diving? Your underwater world is about to be enhanced tremendously by pushing your boundaries and depth limits with this extra training. Many interesting sights lie just beyond 18m/60ft such as beautiful wall dives, ship wrecks, and critters that don’t come into the shallows. During the course, your SDI Instructor will take you on two covers skills like:
- Proper descents
- Air management
- Effects of nitrogen narcosis
- Dive planning,
By the end of the course your knowledge and comfort level will have increased. The Deep Diver course has a maximum depth of 40m/130, the suggested sport diving limit.
The SDI Deeper Diving & Dive Computers Manual is the text-book literary assistant to the SDI Deeper Diving & Dive Computers certification course. By signing up for this course, the perspective student will be taught the proper procedures for deep diving, as well as how to use their dive computer. This manual includes an in-depth coverage of the physiology of deep diving, the risks, equipment, the use and selection of diving computers, planning and making deep dives, as well as emergency procedures for deeper diving experiences.
Prerequisites for SDI Deep Diver
- Minimum age 18 (10 with written parental consent)
- SDI Open Water or SDI Junior OW or equivalent from another agency
- eLearning availability – YES!
