TDI Extended Range & Trimix Diving Elearning Course
New Extended Range and Trimix Diving eLearning Course.
Although called the TDI Extended Range and Trimix Diving eLearning course, this online course actually covers multiple open and closed circuit courses, including:
- TDI Helitrox Decompression Procedures*
- TDI Extended Range
- TDI Trimix
- TDI Helitrox CCR*
- TDI Mixed Gas CCR*
The TDI Extended Range Diver Course provides training in proper techniques, equipment requirements, and risk management for air-based staged decompression dives to a maximum depth of 55 m/180 ft, using nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression. One of the risks of Extended Range diving is narcosis; TDI’s courses address this by adding helium (a non-narcotic gas) to the breathing mix. TDI’s Helitrox Decompression diving courses (both open and closed circuit) introduce the use of low helium mixes to conduct accelerated decompression dives in the 45m/150 ft range.
In the TDI Trimix Diver or Mixed Gas CCR Diver course your TDI Instructor will teach you how to plan and execute staged decompression trimix dives to a maximum depth of 60 m/200 ft. Gasses used in the course have a minimum of 18% oxygen (16% for CCR) and helium content appropriate for the planned depth.
