Free Digital Reference eLearning Codes for SDI Professionals

Synopsis

Scuba Diving International professional members can access FREE digital reference eLearning codes for courses they are qualified to teach upon request. The courses are regularly updated, offer downloadable PDFs and include helpful features like bookmarking, notetaking and feedback submission to enhance preparation and content review. This allows instructors to build a reference library and be fully prepared for teaching.

eLearning

One of the greatest benefits SDI offers its members is the digital reference code. Professional members for any of SDI’s agencies can request FREE digital reference eLearning codes for any courses they are qualified to teach and for professional ratings they hold. These codes can be entered directly into the member’s profile to form their digital library and are not to be given or sold to students.

To request your complimentary reference codes and start building your digital library, simply contact SDI World HQ or your local Service Center to request codes for the course(s) you would to review.

Since the moment SDI pioneered eLearning in the scuba industry, we have always felt this is a core resource for our members to use for reference and course preparation. Over the years, the benefits and value of the eLearning programs have grown exponentially for both divers and professionals. Course Preparation

The digital reference codes enable the same exact course content and experience that your students will see. This will enable you to be familiar with the material, testing, and overall interface that your students encounter and lets you review the course information to be fully prepared for teaching the program.

Evergreen Content

Our eLearning courses receive regular updates, which are automatically applied to the courses in your profile, whether they are in-progress or completed. This means that your eLearning content will always be the most current version, regardless of when you started or finished the program. Version numbers use a Month/Day format and can be found in the Student Resources section of the course.

Review Current Levels

You can also request digital reference codes for the levels you already hold with our agencies. This is especially valuable for members who have crossed over from other agencies and have not experienced the equivalent course materials to their Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, or Instructor ratings. It gives an opportunity for review, but also to see the SDI methods for supervising and teaching.

Language

eLearning courses can have the language switched at any time to any of the available languages for the selected program. This means you can use your most comfortable language or review the course in multiple languages.

PDF Download

All eLearning courses also include a downloadable PDF of the course content. This allows you to have an offline copy of the full student course material that you can freely navigate and use without access to the internet. The PDF download is also available in the Student Resources section of the course.

Bookmarking and Notetaking

Our eLearning courses include useful tools like bookmarking and notetaking. Bookmarking allows you to mark pages with important content for easy reference at a later time. Notetaking allows you to add and save notes to any page, so you can enhance your personal instructor reference material with important points that tailor the content to your way of teaching, or any other message you would like to recall when reviewing the material.

Content Feedback

All eLearning courses feature a feedback submission button on every page. This enables all users to contribute to enhancing our materials. If you encounter something you would like to change, may not be worded or translated clearly, or you believe to be incorrect, you can submit it for review by our training department. Approved changes are applied on a regular basis and will update the course for everyone.

I wish free online code could also be extended for SDI/TDI certified divers who crossed over from other agencies particularly the previous certifications they acquired from other agencies before they crossed over to SDI/TDI for the same reason of building a reference library and at the same time learn and enhance our knowledge the SDI/TDI way. I got my Open Water and Advanced Open Water Diver Certification from PADI. But My Rescue Diver Certification was from SDI. I am currently taking Divemaster Course also from SDI/TDI and is aiming to be one of SDI/TDI professionals. It will be a great help if I can also review and learn the Open Water Diver and Advanced Adventure Diver e-Learning materials. Thank you.
