Mission Rec Mission Tech will make five stops in 2018. We kick off the mission on May 12th at Windy Point Park and make our way through Dutch Springs, Haigh Quarry, San Carlos Beach, and Vortex Spring between July and December. These one-day ultimate dive demo events will be packed with prestigious divers, instructors, and the best equipment manufacturers in the diving industry. Join them in the water and demo the newest equipment you’ve only seen on Instagram or Facebook.

To make the registration process move a little faster we’ve included online waivers below. You will have to complete this before diving, so take the time now and get it done. Otherwise, you will have to fill out a paper version onsite.

Everyone needs to fill out a Mission Rec Mission Tech waiver after that, you’ll also need to fill out the waiver of the event location you will be attending. Get these waivers done now, so you can spend less time at registration.

FAQ’s

What manufacturers will be there?

In 2017, we had Dive Rite, AP Diving, Sub Gravity, Silent Diving, OMS, DUI, JJ-CCR, Scuba Force, Shearwater, Deep Six, Ursuit, and Hollis. We have manufacturers still becoming confirmed sponsors for 2018, so make sure to keep checking /mission-rec-mission-tech/ where they get updated as they become confirmed.

What kind of demos will be there?

Manufacturers will be providing the best of their gear. You should expect:
Mission Rec – Demo and learn about all kinds of premier sport-diving equipment. Everything from masks to exposure protection will be available for your hands-on experience.
Mission Tech – Kick it up a notch and try out some of the hottest technical-diving equipment on the market. Rebreathers, doubles setups, sidemount rigs, and DPVs are just some of the items that will be available for your experience.

Should I bring my own cylinders?

You should bring your full kit to allow for testing of anything and everything.

Who will be teaching the demos?

Manufacturers and dive centers will have professional staff available to assist divers in the gear demos.

How do I volunteer to help?

You can contact one of our participating dive centers or favorite manufacturer and ask how you can help.

Are there fees for the free events?

Mission Rec Mission Tech does not have any fees on our end; however, each of the event locations may have park fees that your Mission Rec Mission Tech registration does not include. Please visit the specific event location’s website for information about entry pricing.

What time should I arrive?

The events will occur from open to close for the normal business hours of each location. Demos are conducted based on availability of equipment and in the order of signup, so arrive early for the best experience.

Where do I park?

Please visit the specific event location’s website for information about parking.

Are there any restrictions on agency or certification level?

Any certification levels, regardless of agency, are welcome to attend.

What certifications will be offered at the event?

No specific certifications will be offered at the events, although there is a possibility for the dives to count towards a certification, depending on the instructor that leads the dives.
