DEMA Events and Seminars
The DEMA (Diving Equipment & Marketing Association) Show is the premier international event for the scuba diving, action water sports, and adventure travel industries.
The trade-only show is expected to attract more than 11,000 dive and adventure travel professionals to Orlando, Florida, from October 31 to November 3.
DEMA Show 2007 will combine business, pleasure, and education and all SDI, TDI and ERDI members are invited to join us for this four-day showcase. This year we will be hosting a Halloween bash on Wednesday evening, so bring a costume. Also join us at booth #318 to sign-up for educational seminars, to see the latest new products, attend instructor updates and take advantage of opportunities to upgrade instructor certifications.
Space is limited so sign up now!
Foreign language manuals available
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to market scuba to a whole new audience. We now have manuals and support materials for SDI and TDI programs available in Spanish.
Keep watching for more releases in Spanish and other languages including Portuguese.
New South Florida rep is an industry veteran
John Conway has been diving for more than 25 years in just about every type of environment, as well as with all types of gear. Conway has also worked as a boat captain, store operator and instructor-trainer. If your store or facility is located in the Southern part of the Sunshine State, he is now your SDI, TDI, ERDI representative…
Only three more months to go…
The Instructor Rewards Program closes out and the final numbers will be tallied December 31, 2007. Soon after that, we will announce which of our members have earned one of the fabulous prizes. The Instructor Rewards Program is open to current, active instructors and instructor trainers for SDI, TDI and ERDI who reside in the United States and Canada and who are registered through World HQ in North America. Prizes include a trip for two on the Kona Aggressor, an Oceanic HUD mask, a ScubaPro equipment package, a SeaLife camera system, and personalized Stalsac equipment bag.
This is generating some stiff competition, so don’t get left behind!
Watch a historic dive
Tune into the History Channel at 9:00 pm on October 14 to watch "Titanic’s Tragic Sister",
Another great show in the Deep Sea Detective series documenting the 2005 expedition lead by SDI/TDI instructors Richie Kohler and John Chatterton to the best-known shipwreck in the world: Titanic. John and Ritchie used the Russian MIR submersible to uncover evidence that raised questions about the great ship’s loss and then leads them to explore Titanic’s sister ship, HMHS Britannic.
New SDI video specialty materials
SDI has launched another first by combining its all-new underwater video specialty with an award-winning instructional DVD.
This new SDI specialty has been created in conjunction with Annie Crawley, and is intended to introduce divers, snorkelers and even non-divers to the techniques needed to plan, shoot and edit a short film!
