Brian Carney announced today that SDI has completed a “total revision, update and rework” of the student manual and instructor resources for its Assistant Instructor and Open Water Scuba Instructor programs. In addition to rewritten text, new photographs and illustrations, and design layout, SDI has added both levels of its leadership curriculum to the growing suite of courses that are available onLine.
Carney, SDI Group President explained that the product development team has been working on this project for the past several months non-stop. “When we released our new Divemaster materials and onLine program earlier this summer, I set a goal to have all three components of SDI’s leadership program brought up to the same standard by the end of calendar 2009. Not only did the team beat that deadline they also managed to maintain an extremely high standard producing updated content and designing a truly attractive layout for both printed and electronic materials.”
Just as with the launch of its Divemaster materials, student’s studying for SDI’s AI or OWSI using onLine academics will have traditional printed materials made available to them, and student kits will include briefcase, dive tables, logo hat, books, record folder and workbook.
Members will be able to experience the AI and OWSI onLine course using a FREE user code available at SDI, TDI, ERDI booths at Birmingham and Orlando dive shows this coming month.
