Diver Tips… cold-water critter diving at its bestsunset in washington state

The Hood Canal is located in the Pacific Northwest approximately 90 minutes from Seattle Washington, and is one of only two fjords in North America!


Because of the topography it can take up to one year for the water from the Pacific Ocean to completely flush the water from the canal. And it also hosts spectacular marine life and truly remarkable diving for all levels.

Spring in the Northeast begins with America’s biggest consumer dive and dive travel show! Beneath The Sea will be held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center, Secaucus, NJ from March 27 – 29, and we’d like to see you there! There are dozens of reasons to make the show: workshops, seminars, manufacturer’s displays, travel operators and destinations offering great deals. And of course the opportunity to join the SDI, TDI, ERDI leadership team via an instructor, assistant instructor, divemaster crossover.




Do you have what it takes to be a Public Safety Diver?

Find out at Beneath The Sea! Join one of our premier East Coast ERDI training facilities in the pool on march 28 just minutes from the show floor at BTS. Here you will experience simulated underwater exercises that a Public Safety Diver could possibly encounter on a dive. This course is designed to build confidence and introduce each participant to the skills needed to overcome an unforeseen underwater obstacle.

These obstacles include: Entanglements, Out of Air Situations, Navigating Obstructions etc…  All Current and Future Public Safety Divers are Encouraged to Participate.

Ten dollar fee… All Net Proceeds Go to DAN and The Boys & Girls Club.


Wreck Dive with the Shadow Divers…

John Chatterton and Ritchie Kohler will be special guests during a week of spectacular wreck diving in the Florida Keys. Rec-2-Tek Week is sponsored by the Upper Keys Association of Dive and Snorkel Operators and will run from May 3 to 9th.

Quebec to get a state-or-the-art hyperbaric facility
OxyHeal Health Group® (OxyHeal) announced recently that it has been awarded a contract for the design, manufacture, and installation of a rectangular multiplace hyperbaric chamber system at the Centre Hospitalier Affilié Universitaire (CHAU) de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis in the city of Lévis, Canada.
