Continued Growth of overseas business drives more positive changes in SDI/TDI Regional Offices! Moves will foster continued growth opportunities for New Zealand and Brazil membership. Effective immediately, Michelle and Troy Stephenson of SDI TDI Australia will assume management of the New Zealand region. Since becoming the heads of the new regional office in Australia, Michelle and Troy along with assistance of veteran Richard Taylor, Australia has become one of the group of agencies leading regional offices, excelling in customer service. When making the news official, Paul Montgomery, Director International Business Development for the group said, “I know I can speak for those of us who have worked closely with Michelle and Troy in the past, that it has been a very successful year for the Australian Office, and their appointment to promote our brands in New Zealand and to build on the great foundation laid by Neil Bennett and David Walters makes good solid sense for our members.” Montgomery said that the new management team’s initial focus will be to promote SDI’s business model to New Zealand facilities and instructors and to direct the growing interest in technical diving towards TDI’s methods and philosophy. The second piece of news concerned SDI TDI Brasil and specifically the appointment of Louis Servizio as Managing Director of that office. Montgomery explained: “ Lou brings with him over 25 years of experience in the dive industry including retail, distribution and training. He also has been with SDI TDI since 1996 and holds instructor trainer status in both SDI TDI. Having known Lou for some time, I’m looking forward to assisting in every way possible as he uses his skills to grow the region.” Duda Morais, who has been instrumental in building SDI TDI Brasil from its early beginnings to its current status, will assume the role of Training Director for the region, a task that Montgomery said he is perfectly suited for and at which he has proven his abilities and focus. “In his many years working with us in the development of a very strong cadre of professional instructors and instructor-trainers in Brazil, Duda has shown himself to be an extremely talented and dedicated diver, instructor and mentor. Both Lou and Duda are hitting the ground running, and we could not ask for a better team to partner with in securing the future and continued growth of SDI and TDI in this important South American Market!” Contacts for additional information: michelle.stephenson@tdisdi.com.au May 15, 2010 |
