At the beginning of the year I told you about some of the things we wanted to do for you with regards teaching and support materials and I made a promise that our top priority would be to help your bottom line.
Thanks for the faith you have shown and the increased support you have shown SDI, TDI, ERDI and Scuba Travel International during the first half of 2009. We take a great deal of professional pride in being able to offer our members a true alternative to what the competition has on hand… something that’s reinforced every day as more and more established scuba professionals opt to do business with us.
One of the specifics I mentioned to you in the New Year was that our product development group would be creating new and updated product to help you sell more classes. So far this year, we have launched a completely upgraded student manual and instructor materials for the ever-popular TDI Advanced Nitrox Program. In late March, we released a totally new student manual and support materials for the TDI Cavern and Cave Course, and it is fast outstripping the demand we projected for it. Thanks to your acceptance of these new products and increased sales of “old favorites” such as the SDI Advanced Adventure Manual and the SDI Solo Diver Manual, more new and updated titles are being developed.
I particularly wanted to let you know about the next release from our company. We usually steer away from teasers but this is something I’m so excited about, I simply have to let a few secrets out of the bag.
We have always been an innovator and within the next 30 day we will release something that is going to stand the industry on its ear. For the first time with ANY agency, we are going to launch a totally blended program… that’s to say, we will publish a totally NEW program simultaneously in traditional as well as online formats. This is something we have never done before and nor has anyone else.
Now, the heads of my marketing and product development departments have forbidden me to let you know EXACTLY what course it is we are launching, but they will let me tell you that it is either an SDI, TDI or ERDI program.
