The Indian Ocean is located between Africa, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Southern Ocean, and is the world’s third-largest ocean, covering 20% of the Earth’s surface. 80% of the Indian Ocean is open ocean and includes nine large marine ecosystems. Coral reefs, sea grass beds, and mangrove forests are the most productive ecosystems of the Indian Ocean creating an amazing environment that is wonderful for scuba diving.
