Shawn Harrison is from the Pacific Northwest region, where he began his career as an instructor, working and running a dive store. In 2004, he took a position with SDI/TDI/ERDI as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager. Shawn still actively teaches, but his passion is wreck diving and learning their history. There are plenty of opportunities in the Midwest with the various lakes, referred to as “Vast Inland freshwater seas.” In his free time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, and of course, scuba diving with friends.

Scott Evans

South Florida Regional Representative | Scott.Evans@tdisdi.com

Originally from Miami, Florida, Scott completed high school and college in Northern Virginia. At work, he considers his role as a "Brand Warrior" for the lines he represents. Outside of work, he spends time with family, cooks, goes to the gym, tries to get some mountain biking in, works on his underwater photography skills, and practices archery. The region’s higher number of scuba certifications compared to many other locations across the country is not a coincidence. There is a firm conviction that fostering the expansion of SDI/TDI presence will not only enhance the overall dive adventure but also cultivate a community of passionate and lifelong dive enthusiasts. Join in elevating underwater exploration to new heights!

With over 20 years in the dive industry, David’s passion for the ocean continues to grow as he helps share his knowledge with everyone he encounters.

People often overlook California as one of the great dive destinations, but the kelp beds at Catalina Island are beautiful year-round and loaded with unique sea life. You can see garibaldi, giant black sea bass, sea otters, and the occasional shark. People have even spotted great white sharks just outside the dive park.

Buddy was the territory manager for the Southeast and Florida region. Buddy loved all things “water”. Needless to say, he loved diving, spear fishing, fishing, and most any kind of boating. Years ago, Buddy, along with his wife and daughter, lived and cruised on a 35 foot ketch rigged Morgan sailboat for an extended time. He was in the business of SCUBA ever since. Buddy was an avid reader and enjoyed jogging and biking, and of course, spending time with grandkids. Buddy developed many friendships with his customers over the years, and received great satisfaction from helping them be successful in their businesses. He was very proud to have his son, Joey, and daughter, Jennifer working with him in this business.

Austin Overton

Austin Overton

In Memory... 10/06/1989-09/09/2017

Austin was one of the web developers at International Training. Programming was a long time passion and hobby of his and he spent a good bit of time outside of work learning new tech and coding side projects. When he wasn’t programming he enjoyed SCUBA diving with the office crew and spending time with family. While his work was flawless his addition to the team will always be remembered for an ability to unify and his contagious laugh. Along with the skill to unite, Austin kept the office on its toes with quick and clever comebacks. Never making any mistakes, blame for coincidences and random errors were always, and are still, attributed to Austin. Austin routinely stopped his whole world to put others first with his genuine ability to listen and give out the best advice. Always remembered, loved, and part of our family.
