Intro To Tech

Intro To Tech

The TDI Intro to Tech course introduces students to the world of technical diving. This course is designed as an introductory course to the TDI Advanced Nitrox course and the TDI Decompression Procedures Course. The objective of this course is to familiarize students with technical equipment configurations, to enhance open water diving skills (such as buoyancy, trim, and situational awareness), and to introduce students to advanced gas planning techniques within a no-decompression context. This course is strictly a no-decompression course; students are permitted to use enriched air nitrox (EAN) mixes, provided the gas mix is within their current level of certification. Intro to Tech may be combined with TDI Advanced Nitrox at the discretion of the instructor.

TDI Nitrox Diver

Nitrox
This is the entry-level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22 through 40 percent oxygen content. The primary intent is to provide the participant with a solid foundation in the concept of nitrox and help prepare the diver for further technical diving activities. You will learn the basics behind planning dives using nitrox. In addition you will be introduced to all of the formulas tables used when diving nitrox.

Advanced Nitrox Diver

The Advanced Nitrox course is the first step in taking scuba beyond the usual sport-diving applications. This course examines the use of EAN-21 through 100 percent oxygen for optimal mixes to a depth of 40 metres / 130 feet. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN-21 through 100 percent oxygen for dives not requiring staged decompression. TDI Decompression Procedures or the Intro to Tech may be combined with this course at the discretion of the instructor.

Decompression Procedures Diver

This course is recommended for all divers who are interested in decompression diving and is required reading for those enrolled in the TDI Decompression Procedures Course. Generic CCR

Two different courses are cover with this program, CCR Air Diluent and CCR Air Diluent Decompression, not all subject matter is applicable to both. This is the entry level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) for air diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a CCR and to develop basic CCR diving skills to a maximum depth of 30 metres / 100 feet Air Diluent, or 45 metres /150 feet Air Diluent Decompression.
For the diver who is already a CCR Air Diluent diver, the information in this course along with practical application with a certified TDI Air Diluent CCR Decompression Procedures Instructor will take the diver to the next level.

TDI Diving in Overhead Environments

This course is divided into three separate levels; cavern, intro to cave and full cave. It is designed to develop the skills and knowledge for each level that you wish to participate in. The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper planning, procedures, techniques and hazards of diving in caverns and the overhead environments. You will learn how to utilize a primary guideline in the intro to cave course and in the full cave course you will learn how to use secondary lines. As you progress through each level your knowledge and skills will build upon previous skills. Emphasis is placed upon dive planning and skill perfection through each level ending with the full cave course that includes actual cave penetration.
