You Can Now Complete Your Digital Academics Offline
International Training has added a new feature to our SDI eLearning courses.
Students will now have access to a PDF version of the print materials, which can be downloaded for offline use. This PDF can be saved to a phone, computer, or tablet, which will allow students to increase their ability to work on the academic portion of their courses when they are traveling or do not have access to a reliable internet connection.
What’s included?
It will include everything that a student would get if they purchased the printed manual, including the Knowledge Quest, which can be filled in and submitted to the instructor. These materials are copyrighted and will be protected from printing and copying by watermarks and other security measures. While the SDI courses are ready to go, others are already in the works and will be rolling out over the next few months (see below).
Where can I find the PDFs?
Within the “Offline Resources” section on the left side of the eLearning
Who benefits?
This feature will not only benefit students, but Dive Centers as well, since it will allow you to increase sales by marketing to those students who prefer an option to work digitally, but offline. For example, someone who takes the subway to work and would like to complete their diving education during their commute.
How much does it cost?
There is no additional cost for this new feature and both current and future eLearning students will be able to take advantage of the offline downloads as they launch for their respective courses and languages.
How does it work?
You buy the eLearning codes from WorldHQ or your regional office and send the code to the student, just like you already do for eLearning. Students then have the option to download a PDF version of the Student Manual to cover the academic portion of the course if they prefer to work offline. The eLearning course functions the same as it did before.
How to complete and submit?
The offline and online versions are designed to be used separately, just like how the physical manuals and eLearning are used separately. Students will need to submit either the fully completed Knowledge Quest or fully completed eLearning Report to their instructor at the beginning of class.
