The SDI Awards Program celebrates every diver’s and instructor’s journey through their training milestones. With each new certification—whether it’s your first or your seventh—you unlock official recognition that honors your commitment, growth, and passion for diving. Divers begin earning awards from their very first certification, with additional achievements waiting at the four- and seven-certification marks, culminating in each agency’s highest honor.

Instructors are equally recognized: earn your first instructor certification and claim your initial Instructor Award, with more accolades following as you welcome five or more divers into the diving family. These programs not only reward personal progress but also highlight the impact you have on building and strengthening the dive community.

TDI Certificates – Diver Level

The TDI Intro to Tech Course is an introductory course that expands on recreational training by improving dive planning methods, in-water skills, and streamlining existing gear configurations in a controlled and fun learning environment. Every certification is a milestone. Earn your first TDI card and receive your first award. Reach four, and you’ll level up again. Hit seven, and you’ll earn the ultimate recognition—proof of your commitment, skill, and passion for diving.

ERDI Certificates – Diver Level

This first level Emergency Response Diving Course is designed to give the certified open water diver, or open water certified public safety diver, the fundamental skills needed to safely function as part of an OSHA and NFPA compliant public safety dive team in both the diver and tender roles. Your first ERDI certification unlocks your first award. Stack up four, and you’ll earn your next. Reach seven certifications, and the highest ERDI honor is yours—because dedication deserves recognition.

PFI Certificates – Diver Level

PFI is the most well respected freediver training organization in the world – and the most modern! We make it simple to get started with your training through our online learning platform. Earn your first PFI certification and grab your first award. Keep going—your fourth cert brings another.
