Diving Accident Insurance

The thrill and excitement of exploring the underwater world are clear. But having proper diving accident insurance is just as important as having the right equipment and training.

Proper Diving Accident Insurance plays a crucial role in providing financial protection and peace of mind in case of unwanted unexpected circumstances. This is especially true for diving, where the costs and risks are high, and are rarely covered by any other form of insurance.

Diving accident insurance policies are specifically designed to cover scenarios unique to the sport, such as diving-related injuries, hospital stays, emergency evacuation, hyperbaric chambers and lost or damaged diving equipment. Such policies allow you to focus on exploring the magical underwater world, without worrying about financial implications. In short, diving accident insurance is an essential investment for any diver.

DiveAssure allows SDI Divecenters to make the most out of their interaction with divers. The Dive Leader Partner (DLP) program allows you to refer divers to DiveAssure’s superior diving accident insurance plans, and while encouraging safety, earning you great referral fees.

When recommending DiveAssure to clients, DLPs earn 10% referral fees on all registrations, while the affiliated dive center can earn an additional 5% if they join in (see below).

How does the DLP Program work?

  1. Click to join. The process takes a few minutes.
  2. A DLP account will be created for you, and you’ll receive an email with your personal QR code. We recommend you save it on your phone.
  3. During the diving course, when you review the section on insurance coverage, invite your students to scan the QR code and register for one of the DiveAssure programs.
    It’s that easy!
  4. If there is no Insurance Section in the diving course you teach, you may use a short text that DiveAssure will gladly provide.
  5. You will get referral fees of 5%-10% on referrals made by you.

StartDive

StartDive offers comprehensive coverage for Decompression Sickness (DCS) to students taking the SDI Open Water course. This feature allows dive centers and instructors to manage and ensure coverage for all their entry-level students. It offers a centralized and user-friendly platform to register and provide the necessary coverage for a diverse range of students undergoing entry-level training. This coverage is worldwide and is automatically set up. 

The Student will receive a confirmation email from DiveAssure, letting the student know their policy details and the extent of their complimentary coverage. Upon completing the Open Water course, DiveAssure sends another email congratulating the student and will take the opportunity to have the newly certified diver get more insurance. 

This service will not only benefit students but also provide valuable assurance to dive centers and instructors. Through this process, dive centers and instructors can be confident that all their entry-level students will receive automatic coverage for Decompression Sickness (DCS) without the need for any extra steps. This streamlined process enhances the overall efficiency of the dive center and instructor’s operations and ensures that the student’s safety is prioritized without adding administrative burdens.
