DEMA Recap

Women Navy Diver Veterans Roundtable

At DEMA, we had the incredible opportunity to host a roundtable with veteran women Navy divers—trailblazers who literally broke barriers both above and below the surface. From EOD divers defusing danger in extreme conditions to members of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, these women carved paths in a profession that demands courage, grit, and resilience.

During the seminar, they shared their journeys candidly, recounting the challenges they faced as women in a male-dominated field, the intense training and dangerous missions, and the moments of triumph that made it all worth it. Their stories were raw, inspiring, and unapologetically real, giving attendees a glimpse into a world few get to see.

What stood out most was the sheer determination and perseverance these women carried throughout their careers. They didn’t just survive in one of the toughest professions in the world—they thrived, paving the way for future generations of divers. Participants left inspired, reminded of the power of courage, passion, and pushing past limits.

This seminar wasn’t just about diving—it was about breaking barriers, rewriting history, and honoring the women who dared to go deeper than anyone thought possible.
